From the same rescue group who gave us Mosley, we have found a new girl to bring into our family. Let me introduce you to Sabra. She just turned four years old and is full of sweet life. Sabra is blending into our family and bringing us great comfort. She looks kind of serious here. I would take another picture but she is busy playing with Mosley and he doesn't want anything to do with a camera.
I have been able to do a little stitching and am working on a gift quilt using my favorite pattern from Back to Charm School. I'm using the leftover charms to make a little version for myself. I love this one block quilt look and thought of making a larger one for a table cloth. Then I started the hand piecing....I don't think I'm crazy dedicated enough to hand piece anything so big. I'll stick to blocks and small projects for that.
What a beauty *s* Welcome to the family.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the new member of your family. she is very pretty . glad to hear she is fitting in.
ReplyDeletehow nice to work on a hand piecing project. looking good.
She sure is lucky!! And you too!!
ReplyDeleteOh hon she is SO beautiful - I love the look on her face! She just looks so sweet. Your blocks are just lovely [and by HAND?], I think it will make a very sweet little quilt!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet face! Looking forward to seeing more pictures of her.
ReplyDeleteAre you SURE you don't want to make a larger block? What you have is so pretty.
Loris, I am so out of the blogging realm right now that it's not even funny, but I happened to catch this post and then backtracked to read about your loss of Sandy. I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose our furry friends, but I am happy to see that you have a new furry friend. Sabra is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new baby! She is adorable!
ReplyDeleteSabra is darling, looking a little somber as you say, but she will soon know that things have gotten much better for her. Looking forward to more pictures.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to run my hands through Sabra's beautiful coat and give her a good hug. She's so lucky to have found you. Have fun with the hand piecing - love the look.
ReplyDeleteSabra looks so sweet, I wish you good luck with your new member to your family
ReplyDeleteI have always liked this design. I have seen it called "coffin" but that seems a bit gruesome. You have a good start.
