My free time this summer has mostly been about my dogs and cats, not much stitching....and very little time posting to my blog. To get back into the swing of things, I thought this Blog Hop might be the inspiration...maybe not, but at least it will be fun :-) Click the Blog Hop button for the link to the list of Blogs posting in the Hop. I have collected a few patterns that may interest different kinds of quilters so I want to choose 4 bloggers to send a giveaway item.

Hopefully you can see the patterns in the picture here.
For one quilter, there is a pattern of little shirts...folded fabric and appliqued onto a little quilt. Can be done in Hawaiian prints or any style...maybe going back to school shirts :-)
The second quilter will receive the 2 patterns that include the country rabbit and girl doll and the Teddy Bear quilt pattern.
The third option is for the machine quilter to showcase beautiful quilted design on a jacket to wear. It has a simple single pattern piece and actually can be made as a reversible jacket.
The fourth quilter will receive The Backpack it ScreenPlay III. A fun pattern for the school age to carry books or for quilters to carry supplies. I will include some of the buckles used to make the straps adjustable.
So join in the fun Blog Hopping and please leave me a comment telling me which giveaway item you would like. In your comment, I would also love to hear something you love about the area where you live.
I do need to limit this to the continental states and as I'm going to be busy over the next week, I may not be able to reply to comments in a timely fashion but I'm going to enjoy reading what pattern you would like to receive and about the area where you live. So Happy Blog Hopping and Stitching this week everyone. I think the hop goes through September 3rd so I will pick the names and post about it Tuesday September 4th. I will also email the winners so please make sure I have your info to reply to you.
As to my own handwork...I took apart a poorly crocheted afghan (my own!) and re-did it so it is no longer a totally wonky shape, I quilted the little church window table runner but still need to bind it, and I have embroirdered a couple of lobsters on hand towels and am embroirdering another Blackbird Sings....pictures someday. The dogs are beckoning me for more ball throwing!

ReplyDeleteG'Day from Australia! I'm enjoying the beautiful blue skies and warm sunshine, listening to the birds sing as I hop around to all the blogs. I like either the shirt pattern or the bunny/bear patterns. Thank you for the giveaway!

Thank you for the giveaway. It's very generous of you. I think I would enjoy the shirts pattern. I have some found memories of a Hawaiian vacation that would be perfect for that pattern.
ReplyDeleteI like the little shirts pattern.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about where I live is we are in a very rural area and it is very quiet and NO traffic!
Hello from Wales (UK), I have to steer toward the teddy bears.. I can't resist them...
ReplyDeleteWhat isn't to love about Wales? those that live here expect rain, our grass wouldn't be so green otherwise and then our sheep wouldn't be sooo fat :-)
Happy hopping x J x
Hi! Any of the patterns would be fine. Most of the sewing is done for others, and there is always someone for any pattern, right? What I love about my area is that I am close to mountains, an hour from the Ocean, a little over an hour from NYC, close to my mother and my daughter and my sisters and their kids.
ReplyDeleteAs a retired SpEd teacher, I feel your pain!!! As a longarm quilter, the pattern for the jacket interests me! Cool giveaway, thanks!!! I'm following you and hoping to see more of your quilty creations.

Hi, Loris.
ReplyDeleteNo entry - as I won the book earlier this summer. I'm intrigued by the giveaways you have on your blog. What prompts this? Generous nature (which I know you have) or stuff in the closet (which I know I have!). Give the dogs & cats an ear scratch for me and a hug for you.

I really love the backpack pattern. I live in Barranquilla, Colombia but also have a US address. My favorite thing about Barranquilla...hands down is that my granddaughters live here.
ReplyDeleteWell, it's hard to say much good about New Jersey, but at least it's close to Broadway :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to have more quilted jackets. I really like the individuallity of them. Live in the Niagara region in Canada, and love the farm country all around me. Wineries (to which I don't go) and Niagara Falls are always a great attraction to this region. And don't forget the Welland Canal, in which you can see ocean going ships right in the middle of the country. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeletei NEED the quilted jacket pattern!! that will be the "mothers" in my life Christmas presents!! I have to buy one anyway, so winning one would be AWESOME! I live in South West Louisiana. I LOVE our seafood. Place me at a table with boiled crab, crawfish ,or shrimp and you won't see me again for hours!!
