The neighborhood is peaceful even inside. This is a rare picture of Marianne and Elinor in sleeping coexistence.
For quilting projects, I have a couple of blocks to show you. This is a Lone Star made following directions in the book Stars By Magic. I must say...it was fairly magical! Pretty easy to follow and easy to get good results. Thank you to Mary at Quilt Hollow for inspiring me to take another look at this book. Where this block is headed is still kind of a secret so I will save the rest of the story for later.
This next block is the 20th Psalm block I've made. It is called Snowflake and is for Psalm 51. "Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow."
We are headed out to walk the dogs along the bluff. I hope it is a beautiful, peaceful day in your neighborhood too.
I also purchased the Stars by Magic book. Just got it though, so I haven't made anything from it. Your Psalm block is lovely.
ReplyDeleteGlad to inspire you to dig it out and use it! Looks wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteI am drooling over your fabric choices in the star block! Great combination.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty blocks you've made. I especially like the Psalm block. Number 51 is probably my favorite Psalm.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful day? At 3 degrees F - and it was -7 when we woke this morning - I think not! You obviously live in a nicer part of the US than I do! Appreciate what you have, for me, please.
The star block is wonderful and I love the fabric you chose for it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful day, and 2 beautiful blocks, and 2 nice kitties little miss 66 followers!! Have a super blessed day
ReplyDeleteHi Friend!
ReplyDeleteSo long since I've been able to stop by to see what you are up to! Everything is lovely, the kitties are darling and how cute your giveaways were! Congrats on your 100th post, albeit late. Looking forward to visiting and stitching together soon.
Love ya!
Love the Lone Star block :) Did you mention what fabrics you used? Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are wonderful and I can't belive what a gorgeous view you have! I live in such a dry climate...I would love to have a look at some water!
ReplyDeleteOh,man, I am jealous of that view you have.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics you used in the star. And your snowflake is beautiful too.
Happy Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoyable to see what you are working on. Happy Valentine's Day even though it is almost over.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the new home is coming along nicely. It won't be blocking your gorgeous view will it? Awww. Pretty kitties. My two rarely sleep together. It has to be pretty cold outside before they will cuddle together. I love the blocks you are working on. I remember Mary mentioning this book, although I've never seen it. I'll have to go look for it. May want to add it to my collection, :0)
